This is a phenomenon I have never been able to figure out. WHY do people decide to leave the dealer license plate frames on their car? Like the ones that say “Honda [City].” I’ve noticed it’s the majority of cars in my area, which is Los Angeles. It’s just insane to me because presumably you have to take the dealer plates off to put on your new ones, so why put the dealer frame back on?! I guess I get some people have used cars and just never get a new license plate and can’t be bothered with it, that’s somewhat explainable. But still, do people not mind being a driving advertisement for Galpin Honda?? Particularly perplexing are people that spend the money to get custom license plates, and then PUT THE DEALER FRAME OVER THEM!! WTF!! Idk, it’s a question my fiancé and I always ponder over so I wanted to hear what Reddit thinks.
