the spooks ofc, the only time of year everything scary is accepted and no one bats an eye and just goes with the flow.
spiritually, it allows spirits to wander the living world without being looked at twice.. you wouldn’t think they were from the other realm since everyone dresses up as something. lol there are rumors that around the halloween time that there is an opening that happens and anything wanders in those specific areas. but as i said.. they are rumors.
