Phones.
Back in my day, when the phone rang, you answered it. There were telemarketers and they were easy enough to deal with.
Now…it isn’t even worth answering the phone at all unless one is expecting the specific all or it is on the list of known numbers.
If it were not useful for a few select things, I would ditch the phone and have no phone number entirely.
