My parents are strict/controlling and it drives me crazy. You must study this career, marry this person, not stay out late at night, and more. If you stand up for yourself, you get the same response which is “I raised you my whole life and now you’re going to disobey me.” My grandparents forced all these rules on to them and now they are trying to make my life miserable. I didn’t ask to be born or what parents I can pick. I find it crazy that the people that are related to you by blood can be your worst enemy. This might be the reason why my parents are miserable cause they don’t love each other and were forced to marry one another.
