What are your thoughts on getting your partners name tattooed on you?

I don’t get the point.

If I know I’m going to be with her forever and love her, why would I need a tattoo? Especially considering I already married my wife. I’m not really sure what a tattoo would add.

If I need the tattoo in order to “prove my love”, the situation is probably way to temporary for me to consider getting a tattoo that’s permanent.
