What are your “I told you” moments?

My mom bought one of those electric knife sharpeners and ruined all her knives with it. She thinks they just wore out, even though they were perfectly fine from a decade ago up to the moment she bought the sharpener.

I bought her a new knife and told her not to use the sharpener on it. She used the sharpener. Knife is ruined. She finally believes me.
