What are some recommendations for private (see text) picture sharing services?

I (finally) have pictures worth sharing with family and friends.

Edit: preferably no paywall. Definitely no paywall for access/viewers only.

However, I don’t want to use facebook or generic social media services.

I have googled, but am only seeing the usual suspects – hoping for some experienced input.

I wish to share these pictures with anyone I also share access with, so if they want to see them, they can log in and do so – but any random Internet user cannot.

I do not wish to send individual pictures to individuals, just upload them to one secure place, where my friends and family can log in at their own will
