What are drug cravings like? Is it the same feeling as food cravings?

Drug cravings are different than food cravings in that they are driven by psychological urges, rather than physiological needs. Drug cravings are often accompanied by intense emotions, such as anxiety or agitation, and can be overwhelming. They usually last longer than food cravings, and come on more quickly and intensely. People with substance use disorders often find it extremely difficult to resist drug cravings.
