Recently I got a new colleague, this person has been very wearing for me. From the first day I got such a bully vibe from them. Many times they have been straight up rude and mean. It’s not only me who have the same experience, but I feel that they might target me a little more because I’m young and what they may think stupid and inexperienced. I’m always very nice and timid as well. I have talked to some others at work about it but today I also told the boss. The boss took me seriously and understood me, and wanted us to talk about it in the group first and try to solve it ourselves. If that wouldn’t work the boss would of course get more involved.
Now I’m pretty nervous and wish I didn’t say anything. I know it’s not fun to find out that someone went to the boss about something and “making a thing” about something. So was it bad going to the boss about this? I’m very scared of personally confronting someone which maybe would have been a better option.
