United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Regional Chief of Communication in  Geneva, Switzerland.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Technology Associate of Communication will perform the following functions:

  • Support to existing and planned T4D initiatives to ensure all T4D solutions are efficiently coordinated, monitored, and supported to comply with digital development principles in accelerating and achieving results for children, particularly in the development and humanitarian settings.
    • Actively participates in programme discussions to leverage his/her technical skill to identify opportunities for innovative use of technology in programme initiatives.
  • Strengthen data-driven systems and solutions to facilitate rapid decision-making, learning and adaptive programming, and informed strategy.
    • Support capacity for data collection, analysis, visualization, storage and information management systems across the programme in consultation with Outcome and output managers.
  • Provide technical and operational support to office-wide digital transformation.
    • Support the development and implementation of knowledge management tools and platforms that would help UNICEF Philippines build its internal knowledge hub on children.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Completion of Secondary education supplemented with formal training (at university level) in Computer Science, Business Administration or computer related certification (e.g., Prince2 Certification, ITIL Foundation
  • Certification or equivalent customer support certification).
  • 6 year’s practical professional work experience in information technology, product development, as well as systematic methods of troubleshooting and analytical problem solving, providing assistance to users on technology products and services, and use of applications and data visualization tools.
  • Practical experience with various platforms and applications operating systems, email and database systems, Microsoft Office product suites, and data collection and visualization tools.
  • Work experience in providing technology transfer and support to remote field offices in developing countries is an asset.
  • In-depth technical knowledge related to software development and information systems management.
  • Computer literacy and ability to effectively use standard office software, tools and technologies.
