World Health Organization (WHO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Supply Assistant and Fleet Management Assistant in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.

Key Job Responsibilities

The Supply Assistant and Fleet Management Assistant  will perform the following functions:

Supply Assistant

  • Support Event Response forecast needs by assisting OSL officer in charge to make field assessment and field data collection.
  • Follow unit’s workplan and OSL OPS monitoring tools according to supervisor requirements.
  • Ensure logistics support of daily Emergency response team routines activities with appropriate transportation means, facilities and equipment.
  • Provide timely & proactive assistance and support to the supervisor on all supply needs in the context of the emergency response.

Fleet Management Assistant

  • Prepare the staff transport masterplan as per pillars request & Incident Management approval (allocation of dedicated vehicle & pooling system).
  • Receive and review the transport request from the transport booking apps.
  • Liaise with counterparts in the Security Unit (WHO / UNDSS) to seek final movement clearance prior departure.
  • Determine the route plan, the communication plan and the timetable to respect.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Completion of secondary education or equivalent.
  • Higher education from an accredited educational institution an asset.
  • At least 5 year’s  relevant experience in the area of administration and/or logistics.
  • Relevant experience in WHO or another UN agency and non-governmental organization during humanitarian response an asset.
  • Expert knowledge of English and Ukrainian language.
  • Working knowledge of Russian language.
