[Serious] Artists of Reddit, how worried are you that Generative AI will put you out of work?

The stuff AI can do passably is a very, very narrow band of all kinds of art. I suppose if I did digital illustrations of fantasy scenes, I might be worried.

But is AI learning to sculpt alabaster? Paint in oil on canvas? Acrylic on wood panel? Apply layers of resist and anodization to metals? Metal work? Paint murals?

People also frequently want to know the story of the artist. What is their background? Where are they from? How does their experience and point of view inform their work? You can’t have any of that with AI except one novelty sentence: It’s done by AI.
