Qualifications
Culinary Education: A formal culinary education from a reputable institute e.g UtaliI College, IHTI, BOMA etc
Culinary Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in various kitchen roles, progressing through the ranks from line cook to sous chef with a minimum of 5 years of culinary experience.
Job Must Have
Mastery of cooking techniques and diverse cuisines.
Menu development and creativity to craft unique, appealing dishes.
Previous experience in leadership roles, such as sous chef or kitchen manager.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Inventory management and knowledge of ordering and receiving processes. – Food safety expertise and understanding of health regulations.
Experience with budgeting, cost control, and food cost analysis.
Understanding of financial implications in menu planning and pricing.
Experience in training and developing kitchen staff.
Maintaining a strong work ethic and leading by example.
Demonstrating enthusiasm for food and inspiring the kitchen team.
Educational Requirements
Degree or diploma in Hospitality/ Catering
