The Electoral Commission Assistant Election Officer/Secretary Jobs in Uganda
Job purpose:
To provide secretarial and administrative support on a variety of tasks for the efficient and effective running of the respective Principal’s office.
Key Result Areas:
Responsible for secretarial services and taking dictation, transcribing, editing and presenting accurate and error-free work;
Managing all front desk requirements in the office;
Courteously and professionally responding to inquiries of a routine nature;
Managing office equipment such as; telephone, photocopying machine, computers and fax machine;
Maintaining records including filing minutes, correspondences and other documents in proper order and in accordance with security and office procedures;
Performing routine administrative office functions;
Managing and accounting for office imprest;
Any other official duties as assigned.
Minimum Academic qualifications:
Uganda Certificate of Education with at least two (2) credits including English Language and three (3) principle passes; and
A UNEB or UBTEB Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Office Management or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Preferred Skills and Competences:
Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet);
Good knowledge of modern office practice including filing systems and operating office machines;
Excellent communication skills;
High moral character and integrity;
Good interpersonal skills;
Excellent customer care skills;
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
AGE: Not below twenty (20) years of age.
