Job summary
He/she will provide necessary support to the implementation of activities necessary for establishing a functional supply chain management system responsive to preparedness, prevention and response needs of public health emergencies.
Responsibilities and duties
Prepare the necessary documentation and materials required to
Develop guidelines, training materials, SOPs, and tools needed for supply
Quantification of commodities required for stocking the identified regional emergency response supply chain nodes.
Liaise with the regional level supply chain coordinators to implement regional and district level supply chain for emergency response.
Work with health facilities to provide assistance to and participate in training of the national and regional supply chain coordination teams and monitor implementation of the regional and district level trainings.
Support Kampala city supply chain strengthening activities including making arrangements for the training.
Support the organization of the national and regional meetings by making available technical materials to the regional and KCCA teams and other documentation and support as deemed necessary.
Coordinate with district level coordinators to arrange district coordination meetings as planned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Applicants must possess a degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
A minimum of three years of experience in managing health sector supply chain systems.
Familiarity with supply chain concepts and pharmaceutical/logistic management in emergency situations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment, meeting deadlines effectively.
Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, displaying teamwork and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with the capacity to make presentations and produce reports.
