Job Summary
The Field Assistant will be responsible for coordination of both community and facility activities. The Field Assistant will closely work with other structures at community and facility levels and will be responsible for mobilization, coordination, data collection, and review and consolidation of reports on
Responsibilities and Duties
Supervise PSWs, to ensure effective and quality program delivery
Provide coaching and mentorship to PSWs to ensure provision of quality and impactful services at the household level and periodically appraise the performance of PSWs.
Assist the technical team when conducting Activity surveys and studies,
Support the identification and enrollment of all eligible OVCs in the program
Support the Development of household improvement plans for enrolled households and ensure implementation of household care plans.
Support periodic data collection, and review and ensure timely submission.
Provide support in the referral and linkage of OVCs for services such as health, education services, apprenticeship, and Family Health, among others.
Support documentation and updating of OVC household files at offices.
Work with the supervisor (social workers) to periodically visit households of non-suppressors and support non-suppressing children to ensure they suppress.
Participate in facility and Division case conference meetings to present follow-up feedback on the non-suppressing CLHIVs
Participate in performance review meetings (Districts and Sub County) and events.
Request for an emergency fund for critical cases
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or other social service related.
At least 1 year of proven experience in the implementation and management of parenting, education, or other social protection programs, preferably under PEPFAR/USAID programming
Experience in stakeholder engagement with government, CSOs, and health facilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Should have computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrable good communication skills in both English and Local Language (Luganda)
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to deliver results.
