On behalf of one of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced QC Supervisor – Jetty.
Job Description
The QC Supervisor – Jetty will report functionally to the
MST QC Lead and on a day-to-day basis to the nominated Delivery Manager.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities
Lead a team of Jetty QC Advisors in:
Performing EPcmC surveillance and monitoring of construction work
Performing / witnessing quality inspections
Ensuring ITP’s and referenced procedures are adhered to
Validation of COMPANY CONTRACTOR test results
Signing off on relevant intervention points on ITP’s
Liaising with relevant Quality Leads on status / progress / non-conforming actions / – tests / – materials
Filing relevant records and compiling daily reports
Facilitating the COMPANY CONTRACTOR’s management of any detected nonconformance
Overseeing the progressive compilation of Mechanical Completion Dossiers
Leading the team will include:
Co-ordinating with the COMPANY CONTRACTOR(s) performing the work
Planning EPcmC surveillance activities
Confirming the competence of available QC Advisors
Updating the planned mobilization dates for QC Advisors to join his or her team
Nominating Advisors to conduct specific EPcmC surveillance activities
Resolving obstructions to Advisors completing EPcmC surveillance activities
Reviewing the reports of EPcmC surveillance activities
Managing the resolution of any Major NCRs raised by COMPANY CONTRACTOR or EPcmC
Main responsibilities:
Coordinates with EPcmC / VENDOR QC, CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS for Quality
Supports Jetty QC Advisors with technical issues and Liaison with CLIENT, supports MST QC Lead.
Manages Jetty QC Advisors and other personnel.
Supports all Jetty Construction / Installation activities with technical support, close liaison with CLIENT and EPcmC Delivery Managers, attends meetings and chairs Quality meetings as required,
Interfaces with the relevant Engineering and Procurement functions.
Interfaces with EPcmC / VENDOR QC Inspector and TPI agencies.
Minimum Experience and Qualification
Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering
A minimum of 5 years leading teams of QC Inspectors to provide surveillance of jetty construction activities being performed in compliance with similar standards and specifications to the EACOP Project
A minimum of 5 years leading teams of QC Inspectors to provide surveillance of jetty equipment installation activities being performed in compliance with similar standards and specifications to the EACOP Project
Project Computer Skills: Familiarity with the Microsoft office suite
