Position

Options is seeking the services of a videographer/photographer to document ‘Survivor Leadership Training (SLT)’ for survivors of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C).

Summary purpose and objective of role

Carry out interviews and film the training as agreed with the team and in line with Do No Harm guidelines

Production of video (script writing, videography, editing, audio balancing, sub-titling, format exporting, archiving raw and edited work etc.) according to Options Consultancy Services standards. All videos produced must be of the highest quality to adequately represent the organization

Edit the footage in line with the script agreed upon and approved by Options Consultancy focal persons and produce a professional quality package/report / PSA of broadcast quality

The consultant shall use their own HD-quality video camera and professional editing software

Record and edit narration/voice-over where needed in accordance with guidance from the relevant Options Consultancy Services focal person

Embed subtitles in the video as per need

Clearly identify the location, name, and role of interviewees, quotes, and any relevant details

Include appropriate branding and crediting of ownership for the produced videos

Requirements

Exceptional photography and videography skills

At least five years of experience in videography/video editing

Demonstrated experience of conception, production and editing of mini video documentaries and PSAs

Experience covering social, and development subjects will be an asset
