Oversee and managing the maintenance and repair activities of construction equipment and vehicles used in road construction projects.
Ensure the availability, reliability, and efficient functioning of equipment to support construction operations.
Lead and manage the workshop operations, including maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing.
Responsible for maintaining a well-equipped workshop, ensuring timely equipment maintenance, minimizing downtime, and optimizing equipment performance.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
• Workshop Operations Management: Oversee and manage all workshop activities related to equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Maintenance Planning: Develop maintenance schedules and plans for construction equipment and vehicles.
• Repairs Coordination: Coordinate and supervise equipment repairs, ensuring timely completion.
• Spare Parts Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and materials needed for repairs.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the workshop team in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations within the workshop.
• Budget Management: Monitor and manage the budget for workshop operations, including maintenance costs and spare parts procurement.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the workshop staff, including mechanics and technicians.
• Equipment Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze equipment performance data and implement improvements to optimize maintenance processes.
• Supplier and Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors for spare parts and services.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and workshop performance.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate test results and provide recommendations.
• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

• Equipment Uptime: Minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing availability for construction projects.
• Maintenance Efficiency: Efficient execution of maintenance and repair activities.
• Safety Record: Maintaining a safe work environment and minimizing incidents in the workshop.
• Budget Adherence: Staying within allocated budget for workshop operations and maintenance.
• Resource Utilization: Effective allocation of
labor and equipment resources in the workshop.
• Equipment Reliability: Improving equipment reliability and reducing breakdowns.
• Inventory Management: Effective management of spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Operational Efficiency: Implementing improvements to optimize maintenance processes.
• Team Performance: Efficient collaboration and performance of mechanic staff.
Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
• Leadership: Ability to lead and manage workshop teams effectively.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction equipment and vehicle mechanics and repairs.
• Maintenance Knowledge: Skill in developing maintenance schedules and implementing efficient maintenance practices.
• Safety Focus: Prioritizing safety and enforcing safety protocols in the workshop.
• Problem-Solving: Addressing equipment issues and finding solutions to minimize downtime.
• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with a wide range of construction equipment and their maintenance requirements.
• Budget Management: Ability to manage and monitor budget allocations for workshop operations.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction machinery, equipment maintenance, and vehicle efficiency.
• Environmental Awareness: Understanding and adhering to environmental regulations and practices.
• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
• Working experience: Possession 10 years working experience obtained in equivalent capacity of which 5 years in supervisory capacity.
