Job Purpose / Objective:
Offer support in conducting accurate material testing, quality assurance, and maintaining the integrity of construction materials used in road construction projects.
Responsible for supporting the testing and quality control of construction materials used in road projects.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Material Testing Support:
Assist laboratory technicians and engineers in performing tests on construction materials such as aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and soil.
Follow standardized testing procedures and protocols.
Equipment Maintenance:
Prepare testing equipment and apparatus for various tests.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
Sample Collection and Preparation:
Collect samples of construction materials from project sites and prepare them for testing.
Ensure proper labelling and documentation of samples.
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Record and document test results accurately in laboratory databases and systems.
Maintain organized records of test samples, procedures, and results.
Quality Control: Assist in verifying the quality and properties of construction materials, ensuring they meet engineering specifications.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines during material handling and testing.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Collaboration: Collaborate with laboratory staff, engineers, and project managers to provide accurate testing support.
Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Accuracy of Test Results: Evaluate the precision and correctness of recorded test results.
Sample Management: Assess the accuracy and organization of sample collection and preparation.
Equipment Maintenance: Measure the maintenance and functionality of laboratory equipment.
Record Keeping: Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of recorded test data.
Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
Attention to Detail: Precision in preparing and conducting tests to ensure accurate results.
Technical Aptitude: Understanding of laboratory testing procedures and equipment operation.
Data Management: Accurate data entry and record keeping of test results.
Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork with laboratory and project teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to address minor equipment issues and procedural challenges.
Time Management: Efficiently manage tasks and testing procedures within project timelines.
Adaptability: Flexibility to learn new testing methods and procedures.
Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Working experience: Possession 8 years working experience.
