Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials and equipment.
• Implement inventory control measures to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Regularly update inventory databases and systems.
Material Receiving and Inspection:
• Receive incoming shipments of materials and equipment.
• Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of received items against purchase orders or delivery notes.
Storage and Organization:
• Properly store and organize materials and equipment to ensure easy retrieval and efficient space utilization.
• Implement labelling and categorization systems for easy identification.
Issuance and Distribution:
• Issue materials and supplies to construction teams based on approved requests.
• Ensure proper documentation of issuances and distribution activities.
Ordering and Replenishment:
• Generate purchase requisitions and orders for materials and supplies based on stock levels and project requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, issuances, and receipts.
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends.
Equipment Maintenance:
• Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of construction equipment when not in use.
Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the storage and handling of materials.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaboration:
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and finance teams to ensure alignment of inventory management with project needs and budget.
• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Inventory Accuracy: Measure the accuracy of recorded inventory levels compared to actual stock.
• Stock Turnover Rate: Calculate how often inventory is used and replenished within a specific period.
• Stockout Rate: Track the frequency of stockouts and evaluate their impact on operations.
• Inventory Holding Cost: Evaluate the cost of storing and managing inventory.
• Order Fulfillment Rate: Measure the percentage of requested materials and supplies fulfilled in a timely manner.
Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and organize inventory efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in recording inventory levels and documentation.
• Communication: Effective communication with procurement, construction, and finance teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to address stockouts and resolve inventory-related issues.
• Data Management: Proficiency in using inventory management software and databases.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Time Management: Efficiently manage inventory-related tasks and activities.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
• Working experience: Possession 3 years working experience obtained in equivalent capacity.
