Job Roles and Responsibilities:
• Project Planning: Collaborating with the project management team to plan and schedule asphalt-related activities, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
• Material Selection: Assessing asphalt materials and recommending suitable mixes based on project requirements and local conditions.
• Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that asphalt mixtures meet required specifications and standards.
• Equipment Management: Overseeing the maintenance and operation of asphalt-related machinery and equipment.
• Budget Management: Managing the asphalt engineering budget, including material costs, equipment maintenance, and labor expenses.
• Environmental Compliance: Ensuring that asphalt construction activities adhere to environmental regulations and guidelines.
• Team Supervision: Leading and managing a team of asphalt engineers, technicians, and workers to achieve project objectives.
• Innovation and Improvement: Identifying
opportunities for process improvement and innovative asphalt technologies to enhance construction efficiency and pavement performance.
• Safety: Ensuring the implementation of safety protocols during asphalt construction to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and construction teams to coordinate asphalt activities. Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet project timelines.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on asphalt construction estimates status, and any outstanding issues. Provide progress updates to project managers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

• Asphalt Quality: Ensuring that the asphalt mixtures meet required specifications and standards, leading to durable and long-lasting road surfaces.
• Project Timelines: Adhering to scheduled timelines for asphalt construction activities, minimizing delays in the overall project completion.
• Cost Control: Managing the asphalt engineering budget effectively to avoid cost overruns and wastage.
• Safety Performance: Ensuring a low rate of accidents and incidents during asphalt construction, reflecting a strong commitment to safety.
• Customer Satisfaction: Meeting or exceeding client expectations regarding the quality and performance of the asphalt pavement.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring a safe working environment in the workshop area and achieving compliance with all safety regulations.
• Change Order Management: Evaluate the efficiency of managing change orders and variations.
• Compliance Adherence: Monitor adherence to project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Stakeholder Satisfaction: Gather feedback from project
team members and external stakeholders on bridge quantity management processes.
Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
• Asphalt Engineering Expertise: In-depth knowledge of asphalt mix design, construction techniques, and industry best practices.
• Project Management: Skill in planning, organizing, and managing asphalt-related activities within the context of a broader road construction project.
• Quality Assurance and Control: Ability to implement quality control measures to ensure the consistent quality of asphalt mixtures.
• Budgeting and Cost Management: Competency in managing financial resources effectively and optimizing costs related to asphalt engineering.
• Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate a team of asphalt engineers and workers.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with project stakeholders, suppliers, and construction teams effectively.
• Environmental Awareness: Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable practices in asphalt engineering.

• Working experience: Possession 8 years of leadership working experience of which 3 years should have been obtained in the equivalent capacity.
