Privatisation Authority Senior Records Management Officer Jobs in Kenya
The officer shall report to the Manager, Human Resources & Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, Interpreting and implementing record management policies and systems in the Authority.
Other key Responsibilities include:
Planning appropriate office accommodation for registries;
Ensuring that file movement records are updated and maintained;
Applying appropriate technology in creation, retrieval, storage / archiving and sharing of documents to enable efficient use by relevant officers,
Overseeing security of files and documents;
Ensuring receipt and proper dispatch of mails and maintaining related registers;
Preparing of records disposal schedules for disposal /retention in liaison with Kenya National Archives
Preparing appraisal and disposal schedule of files and documents in liaison with relevant agencies;
Preparing and submitting budget estimates for the registry;
Ensuring proper utilization of storage space; and Cross referencing files
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
At least four (4) years related work experience;
Bachelor’s Degree in record management or a related field;
A supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in computer applications;
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated results in work performance; and
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution.

Terms of Service and Remuneration
Officers in Grades PA3 shall be appointed on a contract of five (5) years renewable subject to performance. Such appointment is subject to the legal retirement age.
Officers in Job Grade PA4 and PA5 shall be appointed on permanent and pensionable terms of employment.
An attractive remunerative package, commensurate to qualifications, experience and responsibilities and in line with government guidelines will be offered to the successful applicant.
