Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Senior Risk Management Specialist in Manila, Philippines. The duration of this post is 3 years.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Risk Management Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Liquidity Risk Assessment
- Lead the coordination of the 2nd line of defense activities with different stakeholders to build an effective liquidity risk oversight.
- Actively ensures adherence of the first line of defense activities to internal liquidity risk policies.
- Contribute to ORM’s second line of defense role, by independently assessing and reporting on potential gaps and emerging liquidity risks.
- Model Risk and Research
- Oversee the collection and evaluation of modeling results for liquidity risk oversight, in-depth quantitative analysis on all aspects of models including assumptions, model design and implementation as well as reporting.
- Perform ad hoc investigations around liquidity issues, representation of data and liaises with the appropriate teams in order to gain insight.
- Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain knowledge of emerging best practices and standards in risk management.
- Develop, organize, and conduct training to facilitate staff training and promotes an appropriate risk culture in ADB.
- Stay up to date with all risk-related regulatory developments and industry best practices in risk management.
- Staff Supervision
- Supervise the performance of team members providing clear direction and regular monitoring and feedback on performance.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals and ensures their ongoing learning and development.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Master’s Degree, or equivalent in a quantitative field such as finance, statistics, mathematics, economics or related fields.
- University Degree and at least 5 year’s specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered.
- At least 10 year’s relevant experience in risk management and/or treasury and/or lending operations and hands-on experience in balance sheet liquidity risk management / asset liability management (ALM) with a commercial bank or multilateral development bank and international experience working in several countries
- In-depth understanding of multilateral financial institutions’ balance-sheet dynamics and ALM operations.
- Substantial knowledge of liquidity management and risk management as well as topical issues relevant for multilateral financial institutions.
- Proficiency with financial analytics and programming tools.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
