Self-made millionaires of reddit, did you work the system or beat the system? How?

I just worked for a few years at a high paying job. Did a little more than needed to get promotions but otherwise just kept doing what I liked.

It doesn’t help that millionaire doesn’t mean anything in this part of the land and almost everyone you meet is one.
