Redditors who have been shot, how bad was the pain?

I haven’t been shot so I do apologise for deviating slightly off-topic. I have head several dreams where I was shot tho, and dying, and they were the best dreams I’ve ever had. I felt so at peace. I could feel my blood and bone and flesh swirling all around, and could see a bright light. Everything was in slow mo and I was so calm. Obviously being shot irl isn’t quite as poetic, I’d imagine.
