United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Programme Officer in Bamako, Mali.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Programme Officer will perform the following functions:
- Deploy the U-report website and launch the IOGT platform in Mali;
- Support the implementation of the U-Report strategy to recruit at least 1,000,000 on the U-Report Mali platform;
- Adapt the U-report strategy to local needs
- Work with UNICEF Mali sections to launch surveys and ensure that information collected through U-report is available to better guide activities;
- Support the Monitoring & Evaluation section in the documentation of the life cycle approach,
- Coordinate with youth groups, U-Report communities, community groups, as well as government and NGO partners as appropriate;
- Provide guidelines for training partner focal points on the use of U-Report.
- Collaborate with youth organizations and associations to make the tool more widely used,
- Contribute and support the activities of the different pillars of the cooperation program including the KRCs through the mobilization of the U-Report community
- Share within the U-report community (regional and global level), the experience of the implementation of the U-Report in Mali,
- Implement a results dissemination strategy to increase U-Report ownership and impact.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- University Degree at Bachelor’s level in social sciences, information and communication sciences, statistics, demography, computer science or any other similar discipline
- Candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience in project management and/or in the management of the U-Report program and have:
- Experience in community development and more specifically youth engagement
- A good understanding of development and emergency programs in Mali.
- Previous experience with UNICEF or a UN agency is highly desirable
- Experience in communicating with communities;
- Relevant expertise and experience in the use of Rapidpro
- Ability to interact with national and international organizations;
- Skill to conceptualize, plan and execute projects integrating skills transfer and training;
- Proven writing and communication skills to address messages and priorities to a varied and diverse audience.
- A perfect command of the French language, and at least one local language of the place of employment.
- Working knowledge of English is required
