People that have been told they are “hard to shop for”, how does that make you feel?

Every year around Christmas I get told I am hard to shop for, and it kinda hurts my feelings. It always makes me feel like a high-maintenance, ungrateful person and that’s not me at all.

I LOVE to give presents, and maybe that makes people feel pressure to deliver in kind, but I am always happy and appreciative of whatever gifts I receive and never return things or regift.

I have multiple hobbies and interests so I feel like that should make it easy for people to have ideas if they really wanted them, so when someone says I am “hard to shop for” it feels like they are just throwing their hands in the air and giving up.

Anyone else experiencing this? What do you think?
