Hi everyone. So I went to the ER for chronic constipation and bloating. After giving me an ultrasound exam, the tech proceeded to give me a pelvic exam to which she didn’t prepare me for. She wasn’t kind at all, and she just inserted it into my vagina very roughly. It hurt soooooo bad (literally I told her ouch it hurt!) and she just kept going. I was in pain and so confused why she did that. I didn’t even know I was getting a pelvic exam!
Anyway after it was done I went to the bathroom and there was blood going down my legs and heavy heavy bleeding. I was embarrassed and confused, so I didn’t say anything to her but shortly afterwards I realized that amount of pain and bleeding was not normal. I even told the doctor and he said that shouldn’t have happened and he’s going to send a message to her boss. Could I sue for this? It was completely invasive and I felt violated. And now I’m traumatized. Has anyone experienced this? What would you do if you were in my situation?
