The International Labour Organization (ILO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Officer in Geneva, Switzerland. The duration of this post is 1 year.
The mission of the ILO is to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Officer will perform the following functions:
- Resource mobilisation and strategic engagement with partners
- Identify and compile information on new opportunities and upcoming trends in development cooperation. Propose ways for the ILO to benefit from these efforts to increase levels of voluntary funding, including through specific resource mobilisation strategies for priority ILO outcomes and themes.
- Contribution management
- Support the submission of proposals for funding, ensuring quality and relevance to partner requirements, formats and timing.
Provide support to the negotiation of funding agreements with donors, ensuring compliance with ILO rules, regulations, directives and procedures, etc.

- Portfolio Monitoring
- Support and facilitate the timely start-up and closure of projects in the portfolio.
- Monitor project portfolios by partner, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and propose solutions for project implementation challenges.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- First level Degree in economics, social science, international studies or other relevant field.
- At least 3 year’s relevant professional experience in the area of partnerships and development cooperation, preferably including familiarity with the ILO’s development cooperation programme and knowledge of development partners and donor agencies.
- Excellent command of English.
- Working knowledge of another working language of the Organization (French or Spanish) and Spanish is an advantage.
