Older men of reddit, what awful male role-model did you support back when you were younger and dumber?

I don’t think I ever supported any male role-model. All the men in my extended family were so terrible that I never believed there even could be a male role-model. The fact that they were so successful socially and financially, yet secretly horrible to their own family, made me lose trust in anyone claiming to be a role-model.
