Uganda Cancer Institute Medical Officer Special Grade (Internal Medicine) Jobs
Job Purpose:
To participate in the delivery of effective and efficient Anesthesia and Critical care services in the Institute.
Qualification:
Must have an MBChB Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
Must have a Master of Medicine Degree in Anesthesiology or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
Key competencies
The incumbent should have competences in: Strategic thinking; Financial management; Planning, organizing and coordinating; Human resource management; Leadership and teamwork; Accountability; Concern for quality and standards; Knowledge management and Results-oriented management
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring efficient management of Anesthesia and Critical Care services in the Institute.
Supervise and mentor Senior House Officers, Medical Officers, Interns and other Health Professionals under him/her.
Plan and coordinate training programs for all the Health Professionals under him/her.
Plan and coordinate Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in his/her specialty, for Health professionals at the institute and the catchment area of the Institute.
Provide technical and professional advice to the Institution.
Carry out research in his/her area of specialty.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
