Our client, in the Manufacturing sector is looking to recruit a Dispatch Supervisor. He/she will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the dispatch department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, timely response to service requests, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate must at least have 5 years’ experience in dispatch operations in the Manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize dispatch operations, including scheduling, assignment of service requests, and coordination of resources, to meet customer demands and company goals.
Supervise and mentor a team of dispatch assistants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of productivity.
Efficiently allocate personnel, vehicles, and equipment based on job requirements, location, and availability, while optimizing routes and minimizing costs.
Monitor the performance of dispatch activities, ensuring accuracy in scheduling, adherence to timelines, and overall quality of service.
Facilitate clear and effective communication between dispatch team members, Dispatch Assistants, Loaders.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement within the dispatch department.
Reporting and ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all dispatch activities.
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related
Must have at least 5 years in a supervisory role in Dispatch
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant tools for optimizing scheduling and routing.
Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances and resolving customer issues effectively.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
