Connecting Research to Development Regional Manager Jobs in Kenya
Role Summary:
CRD wishes to hire a Regional Manager responsible for overseeing and implementing initiatives and development projects in the Horn Of Africa. The nominated candidate will work closely with national, regional and international stakeholders, communities, and government agencies to ensure the effective execution of these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor CRD’s strategy for the Horn of Africa, aligned with the organization’s broader objectives.
Identify and assess potential projects in the region, focusing on areas such as climate change, health, sustainability, and community development.
Establish partnerships and collaborations with local NGOs, community organizations, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Manage and coordinate initiatives and projects, including budgeting, planning, and executing activities.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements, ethical standards, and corporate policies in all CRD activities.
Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, and government officials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate initiatives, oversee business operations, and promote a culture of sustainability.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of the executed projects, collect feedback from beneficiaries, and report on achievements to senior management.
Identify opportunities for employee engagement and volunteerism in the Nairobi community, promoting a sense of social responsibility.
Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the field of development and humanitarian assistance, advocating for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in public health, environmental health, climate change fields or any related field.
Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in management initiatives, preferably in a multinational company or development organization.
Knowledge of the context of the Horn of Africa, including health, social, economic, and environmental concerns.
Familiarity with UN standards, frameworks, ethics, and principles.
Strong project management skills, including ability to plan, execute, and evaluate projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in English (oral and written), French and Swahili is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Understanding of sustainable development principles and commitment to ethical practices.
