Purpose of Job
To carry out all the activities necessary to purchase goods and/or services/contracts, in compliance with given cost/time/quality requirements and with Company policies and procedures.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Issue bidder lists taking into account end users’ requirements, market knowledge and other possible operational needs
Issue to vendors Request for Quotation based on assigned purchase request
Support vendors during the preparation of proposals and suggest actions to be taken in compliance with Company policies, promoting vendor management activities
Lead economic/commercial negotiations
Prepare economic/commercial tabulations in order to compare different proposals in order to improve bid results and/or select the vendor
Prepare purchase orders/contracts based on standard General Terms & Conditions managing possible deviations
Close out bid process receiving proper acknowledgement by selected vendor
Follow up expediting activitie and negotiate, if necessary, purchase order/contract revisions
Perform the assigned activities in compliance with procedures and provided systems and tools
Check and comment the technical documentation received with the purchase request and technical evaluation
Archive contractual documentation in order to ensure proper traceability of the procurement process
Formal Education
Technical/commercial studies specialising in purchasing materials management 4-year Degree /University Bachelor’s Hons /B-Accounting Hons /Engineering/Masters/PhD
Working Experience
More than 10 years in structured Supply Chain functions
Required personal and professional experience
International purchasing law, contracting
Communication/Rhetoric, Presentation techniques, Time Management
Negotiating skills
Good knowledge of common systems (e.g. MS-Office, SAP, Ariba)
English written and spoken (proficient level) and possibly talian
Builds teams and creates synergies through working across boundaries
