Gilani’s Distributors Warehouse Manager Jobs in Kenya
Role Purpose:
The Warehouse manager will oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations within Gilanis Distributors Limited. He/she will ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the warehouse, optimizing inventory management, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
He/ She will play a crucial role in managing resources, optimizing operational procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives and oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control and timely replenishment.
Coordinate receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Optimize space utilization and layout within the warehouse for maximum efficiency.
Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to optimize stock levels and ensure timely availability of products.
Monitor inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
Analyze inventory data and generate reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
Train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and open communication.
Set performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
Plan and organize work schedules to meet operational requirements and manage labor costs effectively
Enforce adherence to quality control procedures and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Implement safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as necessary.
Monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Warehouse Management.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principle
Proven track record in managing operational projects and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
