Job Summary
A Textile Engineer is a specialist who will specialize in both natural and synthetic fibers and is knowledgeable about various aspects of textiles, including their production, properties, design, and application in various industries. Their expertise will extend to creating textile products.
Key Responsibilities:
Textile Analysis: Textile specialists analyze different types of textiles to assess their properties, quality, and performance characteristics. They may use various testing methods and equipment to evaluate factors such as tensile strength, durability, colorfastness, and flammability.
Textile Design:
Textile specialists may be involved in designing textiles, including patterns, colors, and textures. They work to create textiles that meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements for various applications, such as fashion, home furnishings, or industrial uses.
Product Development:
They participate in the development of textile products, such as clothing fabrics, carpets, upholstery, and technical textiles (used in industries like automotive, aerospace, and medical). This includes selecting appropriate materials, designing prototypes, and ensuring product quality and performance.
Quality Control:
Textile specialists monitor and maintain quality control throughout the textile manufacturing process. They establish and implement quality standards, conduct inspections, and make recommendations for improvements to meet industry and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications
