Job Summary

Our Client is a leading shipping and logistics company that provides comprehensive shipping and logistics solutions to clients worldwide. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Outside Sales Officer to join the team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:

  • Identify and target potential clients in various industries that require shipping and logistics services.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their evolving needs.
  • Conduct client visits and meetings to foster trust and understanding.

    Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and prioritize sales opportunities in the market.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to align strategies with company goals.

    Sales Presentations and Proposals:

  • Create persuasive and customized sales presentations and proposals for potential clients.
  • Present and communicate the value of our services and solutions effectively.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts in line with company guidelines.

    Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors’ activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market segments.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the marketing and sales teams to refine strategies.

    Sales Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including leads, opportunities, and deals.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Track and analyze sales data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

    Travel and Client Visits:

  • Travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct sales presentations.
  • Plan and manage travel schedules efficiently.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in outside sales or a similar role, preferably in the shipping and logistics industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a sales team.

    Additional Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client demands.
