Job Summary

Our client is a leading shipping and logistics company that provides efficient and reliable transportation solutions to clients worldwide. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations/Transport/Equipment Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics and transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Coordination:

Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of transportation vehicles, including trucks, ships, or planes, to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.

Monitor transportation routes, track shipments, and communicate updates to clients and internal teams.

Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.

Equipment Management:

Maintain accurate records of all transportation equipment, including trucks, containers, and other assets.

Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure safety and reliability.

Manage equipment inventory and procurement as needed.

Operations Support:

Collaborate with various departments, including logistics, warehousing, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.

Address operational issues promptly and develop solutions to optimize processes.

Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels to meet customer demands.

Documentation and Compliance:

Ensure all necessary transportation and compliance documents are complete and up to date.

Maintain awareness of industry regulations and ensure compliance with transportation and safety standards.

Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

Customer Service:

Respond to customer inquiries and concerns related to transportation and equipment.

Provide exceptional customer service and work to resolve issues promptly.

Cost Control:

Monitor transportation and equipment-related expenses, identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures.

Assist in budget management related to transportation and equipment operations.

Emergency Response:

Develop and implement emergency response plans to address transportation or equipment-related incidents or emergencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred).

Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in transportation, equipment coordination, or logistics in the shipping industry.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in computer applications and software related to logistics and transportation.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the shipping and logistics industry.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
