Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of three years of experience is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients. This individual will work closely with a healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care, support physicians, and ensure the overall well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Care:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical and psychological conditions.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments and physician orders.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Provide guidance on managing chronic illnesses and preventive healthcare measures.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic health records (EHR).
Document nursing interventions, assessments, and changes in patient status.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and revise care plans.
Communicate effectively within the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
Emergency Response:
Respond to emergencies and provide immediate nursing care as needed.
Remain calm under pressure and follow established protocols.
Quality Assurance:
Adhere to standards of nursing practice and safety protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
Maintain licensure and certifications required for the role.
Professional Development:
Stay updated on advances in nursing practices and healthcare technology.
Attend continuing education programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a diploma in nursing.
Active and unrestricted RN license.
Three or more years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
