Job Summary
Our Client is a leading shipping and logistics company dedicated to providing efficient and reliable shipping services to our clients worldwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Coordinator to join our finance team. The Finance Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, while also contributing to the company’s financial growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any discrepancies.
Financial Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Enter financial transactions into the company’s accounting software.
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management.
Expense Management:
Review and process employee expense reports.
Ensure compliance with company expense policies.
Budget Monitoring:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide regular reports to management.
Vendor and Customer Relations:
Communicate with vendors and customers regarding financial inquiries or issues.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Assist in preparing financial reports for external auditors or regulatory authorities.
Financial Analysis:
Provide support for financial analysis and cost control initiatives.
Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
Ad Hoc Financial Tasks:
Assist the finance team with special projects and tasks as needed.
Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of shipping and logistics industry practices is required
