Uganda Cancer Institute Electrician Jobs
Job Purpose:
To provide basic technical support services on matters of Electrical Engineering in line with the mandate of the Institute
Qualification:
Must have an Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its Equivalent from a recognized Institution.
Must have a minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience in Government or from a reputable organization.
Key competencies required for the post
The incumbent should have key competences in: engineering and structural development policies; Government Accounting procedures; organizing and supervision; reporting skills; integrity and concern for standards; time management and results oriented.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collecting data and updating database of boundary meters;
Undertaking periodic auditing of boundary Energy meters in the electricity distribution network;
Participating in the commissioning of boundary energy meters and associated equipment on the electricity distribution network;
Supporting the service providers to meet installation standards of commercial and domestic meters;
Preparing functional performance reports of meters and activity reports;
Inspect and detect faulty equipment; corrects the faults and/or recommends remedial action;
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
