Position Summary:

The successful candidate will support the MUWRP PEPFAR program to provide technical guidance in; identification of funding opportunities, generation of funding opportunity announcements, manage sub grantee and program documents to include partner contracts and performance reports, track adherence to sub grantee contractual obligations and commitments as descripted in approved workplan. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance for budgeting and operational planning.
  • Manage collaborations with public-private partnerships, government entities, NGOs, and communities.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports.
  • Lead the identification and engagement of new sub-grantees.
  • Oversee sub-grantee workplan development, approvals, contracts, and fund dispersal.
  • Conduct value-for-money audits for funds alignment and sub-grantee engagement guidance.
  • Track program donations to sub-grantees and maintain an inventory list.
  • Represent the program at stakeholder meetings.
  • Contribute to RFAs, strategic plans, workplans, and budget formulation.
  • Assist in developing policies, guidelines, and standards for health facilities.
  • Offer technical support to program sub-grantees in program management.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess a degree in administration/ management with experience managing supervising sub grantees under the PEPFAR program.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of relevant working experience in implementation of an effective sub-recipient monitoring function and provision of technical assistance to sub sub-recipients including local governments.
  • Post graduate qualification in Management would be of added advantage.
  • Relevant working experience in implementing public health and district level PEPFAR supported programs.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve set goals.
  • Ability to travel on water
  • Ability to reside in Mukono
  • Ability to frequently travel to the MUWRP PEPFAR supported sites in Kayunga, Buikwe, Mukono and Buvuma Islands
