60 Decibels Fresher Remote Data / Call Center Jobs in Uganda
Job Summary:
As a Research Assistant for 60 Decibels, your primary responsibility will be to conduct phone surveys with customers and/or beneficiaries of our client’s products and services and to enter this data into our remote platform. You will work in close partnership with our Project Teams to ensure we deliver high quality customer insights while abiding by all data integrity and governance protocols.
This position is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in the application of remote survey practices or looking for a project-based, remote role. During the data collection stage, Research Assistants should be available to work 6-8 hours a day for 4-5 days a week.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in project onboarding calls with the 60dB team to acquire an understanding of specific project contexts before reaching out to respondents.
Conduct phone surveys with customers and beneficiaries:
Ensure that you are interviewing the correct respondents as listed on your contact sheets
Clearly explain the survey objectives and procedures to the respondents addressing any questions/concerns they may have
Attain daily survey targets within specified timeframes and promptly report any obstacles to the project team
Enter the data received from phone surveys into the 60dB platform (in English) accurately, completely, consistently, and reliably – this data must be entered in the exact way that the respondent says it, not paraphrased or summarized.
Proactively communicate project progress updates and raise any queries or concerns with the 60dB team
Review quality check feedback that is provided by project teams and correct or resolve it within your project team’s agreed timeline, and provide status updates to the project team.
Uphold data privacy and integrity by strictly adhering to 60dB procedures, avoiding data falsification or recording inexistent/inaccurate data.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Previous experience in data collection, conducting research, working as an Enumerator is strongly preferred.
Prior customer service and/or call center experience is highly desirable.
Prior social sector experience is a huge bonus.
Strong organization and communication skills – able to work independently and proactively correspond with the 60 Decibels project teams via email and Slack
Strong relationship building skills – establish rapport and build trust with respondents from different cultures and backgrounds.
Strong attention to detail to accurately record respondents’ answers and prevent errors or omissions.
Strong English communication skills; verbally and in writing as all communication with the 60dB team is in English. Specific language requirements for projects will vary by country and will be communicated accordingly.
Proficiency in using smartphone/tablet/laptop-based data collection applications, as well as access to a stable phone, laptop or computer, internet connection, and a quiet work environment.
