Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail:-
Configuring and maintaining Local Area Network and Wide Area Network;
Carrying out systems analysis, design and programme specifications in liaison with users;
Drawing up hardware specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment;
Analyzing, designing, testing and implementing computer programs;
Maintaining a high degree of user service for all support queries and adhere to all ICT service management principles;
Providing technical ICT support to users;
Designing, setting-up and configuring ICT systems and network systems;
Resolving and restoring operational issues and ICT services;
Carrying out work and changes to the ICT infrastructure components;
Administering and maintaining LAN & WAN;
Following up with vendors and service providers on warranty issues; and
Verifying, validating and certification of Information Communication Technology equipment.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
A Bachelors in any of the following disciplines: – Computer Science; Information Science; Information Technology; Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from recognized institution; and
Accreditation in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or any other equivalent qualification from recognized Institution.
At least three years’ working experience in a related field.
