Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya Accountant Jobs
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will be to:-
Process payment vouchers;
Prepare financial management reports;
Comply with Public Finance Management Act, 2012 and in line with the ADAK Finance Manual;
Carry out data capture in the financial system;
Balance cashbooks on daily basis;
Prepare clients’ and suppliers records for payment;
File and retrieving of accountable documents;
Issue Withholding and Value Added Tax certificate to suppliers;
Submit Withholding and Value Added Tax returns to Kenya Revenue Authority;
Comply with the government financial policies
Assist in preparing and consolidating of the Project’s budget;
Prepare reports in compliance with Steering Committee’s guidelines;
Monitor expenditure based on approved budgets;
Perform/review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations;
Evaluate and scrutinize expenditure proposals;
Monitor expenditure on programs on a periodic basis; and
Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce (Accounting option); Commerce (Finance option); Business Administration (Accounting option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Plus
A Pass in Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or Part III of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Be proficient in accounting packages;
Member of a relevant professional body in Kenya and be in good standing will be an added advantage;
At least Three (3) years’ working experience in a related field; and
Proficiency in use of computer applications.
