The International Labour Organization (ILO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of National Project Officer – NOA in Brasilia, Brazil.

Key Job Responsibilities
The National Project Officer – NOA will perform the following functions:
- Review and analyse the country’s specific development plans and priorities, socioeconomic data, reports, and other relevant information.
- Identify potential technical cooperation areas and provide written analysis on the findings to the Supervisor.
- Work in close collaboration with project main partners and donor, design and revise project annual work plans as well as preparation of the budget proposal, considering different approaches and alternative methods, management, problem identification and problem resolution, especially for the parts of the Project supporting the institutional and capacity development of constituents, government agencies, line ministries, and social partners.
- Review, verify and analyse work plans, progress and final reports and other data for clarity, consistency, and completeness, and monitor the progress of Project activities.
- Follow-up on delayed documents, clarify information, and answer questions about clearance and processing requirements to support successful completion of agreed activities.
- Follow-up with relevant technical officers with counterparts in organizations and line ministries at national level, partner and executing agencies, government offices, constituents and focal points in other organizations to expedite implementation and meet targets.
- Assist in the programming and control of resources of the project, prepare budget estimates and expenditure forecasts by analysing and monitoring resources comparing implementation and delivery with planned activities and making recommendations for remedial action. Identify problems, propose solutions and actions.
- Assemble and edit basic data required for planning and negotiation of programme/project activities, considering different approaches and alternative methods for project design, management, problem identification and problem resolution.
- Process micro data of Household Labour Force Surveys and administrative records of the National Statistical System and build decent work statistical indicators.
- Develop database design and implementation and update datasets.
- Apply statistical significance tests and develop model regressions.
Eligibility Criteria
- First-level University Degree in statistics, economics, or related fields (Applied Social Sciences).
- Master’s or equivalent specialization in topics related to the analysis of the Brazilian labour market is an asset.
- At least 2 year’s professional experience at the national level in the themes related on Management Information and Official Statistics, including labour statistics, demographics, applied research, data visualization, and computational statistical analysis carried out with software such as R, SPSS, Stata, and SAS.
- Excellent knowledge of the working language of Portuguese and excellent command of English or Spanish.
- Good knowledge in another UN or ILO language would be an advantage.
