Yup. In most western nations, it is explicitly illegal to pay women less than a man for the same job. If it’s happening, and is as widespread as a lot of women claim, take your employers to court. You have the law (and quite frankly the overwhelming majority of society) explicitly on your side. You’ll win.
But of course women don’t do that because they know that the problem is not being paid less than men, it’s earning less than men which is entirely down to personal decision making.
