U.S Embassy in Rwanda Human Resources Assistant Jobs
Duties
The Human Resource Assistant performs full range of American personnel programs for U.S. Direct Hire (USDH) employees and their family members. Jobholder (JH) is responsible for full range of Appointment Eligible Family Member (AEFM) recruitment duties to include requesting security clearances in e-QIP for candidates.
JH is responsible for check-in/check-out processing, delivering formal presentations, managing Rover program, advising post on NSDD-38 requirements, managing U.S. Intern Program, administering Mission’s USDH and EFM performance evaluation cycle, and managing USDH allowance/entitlement issues including handling Emergency Visitation Travel (EVT) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests.
Additional functions include completing special projects as determined by the HRO/Management Officer (MO); reviewing and drafting HR-related policies; and identifying best practices and developing strategies for implementation. JH reports to the Human Resources Officer (HRO) and will perform Acting HRO duties in absence of the HRO. This position requires a secret security clearance.
