A leading manufacturing facility is looking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager on contract basis for 2 years. The role maintains and supports standard costing system assists in preparation of financial statements and reports, prepares journal entries, reconciles accounts, and compiles and analyzes financial information and data.
Essential Functions
• Perform accounts payable matching and processing of invoices in a timely manner,
• Implement financial systems, process, and procedures,
• Participate in monthly close process to include preparation of journal entries, assist in generation of reports that support the monthly financial statements and reconciliation of general ledger accounts including analysis of account,
• Supervise all accounting associates, manage their capacity and workload allocation, hold them accountable, and provide training and development,
• Prepare internal financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including footnote and financial table preparation,
• Analyze plant-related general ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of balances,
• Ensure month-end close deadlines related to plant items are met,
• Review financial plant results with Company CEO and complete follow-up requirements in order to timely report monthly financial results,
• Develop ad-hoc reports
and costing scenarios, as needed, for both internal and external customers,
• Maintain and support Company product costing system to include material costing, freight costing, conversion costing, packaging costing, and scrap rates,
• Maintain weekly metrics scorecard to include production and shipment data,
• Review financial transactions and apply accounting theory and principles to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures governing facility companies operating in Somaliland
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance
• Mastery skill level and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and QuickBooks and Tally
• 4 years accounting or finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility
• Analytical skills required and must be extremely detailed orientated.
• Must be self-directed, self-motivated, proactive to problem solving, and a team player
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills are crucial
Conditions of Employment:
• Must be ready and willing to relocate to Hargeisa, Somaliland.
• Must have a valid passport to travel, this is a two-year term position.
• Employer is paying for accommodation and return travel, and work visa for the two year term.
